Confernece WB Creative Potential

Representatives of the Centre for Policy and Governance, Asja Čengić and Agnesa Šećerkadić participated in regional expert conference – consultations on creative industries potentials in countries of the Western Balkans, which was held in Sarajevo on January 29, organized by Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) and Central European Initiative (CEI). The aim of the conference was to gather key professionals in the region and institutions in this area and open the dialogue on opportunities, challenges i possibilities to create regional design incubator.

Experts and practitioners in the areas of creative industries which gathered at the conference presented successful examples of design production, and initiatives to organize and create IT and design hubs that would include practitioners from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Srbia and Slovenia.

Furthermore, within the conference, Rob Van Iersel, European Commission program manager for the Creative Europe program, presented the possibilities and opportunities that professionals from this sector can achieve through Creative Europe 2014 – 2020 program.

The conference is organized by Centre for Policy and Governance (CPU), supported by Centre for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) US. Structured in two panels, this conference brings together decision makers, representatives of the telecom industry and international expertise.
